According to recent information,
Facebook has decided to disable Messaging in its web app. It is worth
mentioning here that Facebook Mobile site has been widely used by Facebook
fans. The main reason is many people still have old mobiles with old OS
versions and they are unable to upgrade to latest versions. Moreover many
devices don’t have Facebook client app. So the main source of Facebook is Web
App for these users. It is really a bad news for old Facebook fellows.
No the question arises, why
Facebook has decided to take this action? Most probably it is a marketing
tactic to promote Facebook Messenger. Facebook is working hard to promote its
messenger app. Facebook has a valid reason that they want to optimize messaging
experience and it can only be possible with messenger app.
Although Facebook messenger is
feature rich with features like Video, stickers, chatbots etc. But Facebook
should give liberty to their fans about opting a web app or messenger. Facebook
has a huge fans network and such imposed decision may decrease there
popularity. Facebook Lite is still offering chat and in my opinion it will
become an alternative to web app.
