LinkedIn Sold
Like many other sites, LinkedIn is a fastest growing social media site. The theme behind its creation is the “Social Media Platform for professionals”. It has become the most trusted platform for professionals. Connections are required for a pre-existing relationship. LinkedIn was co-founded by Reid Hoffman, a former employee of PayPal. LinkedIn has more then 430 million professionals. Most of the people are using LinkedIn for job hunting. Companies are also head-hunting with its help.

Now, there is news that Microsoft has bought LinkedIn in $26.2bn. Jeff Weiner will be the head of this project too and will directly report to CEO-Microsoft. Microsoft has taken another risk by buying LinkedIn. It is worth mentioning here that, LinkedIn has been hacked multiple times and its 100 million records are still on sale by hacking group. Company has failed to provide security to its user base and eventually loss trust of many people.

Now, its Microsoft turn to revive user’s trust and make LinkedIn, a secure professional social media platform. Last three months were nightmare for LinkedIn; there net loss was estimated $42.5 million. With the acquisition of LinkedIn, Microsoft is changing its image from a software company to service provider. Microsoft will also use LinkedIn for its advertising monetization. We are hopeful to see LinkedIn blooming one again.
