Google is your Doctor now.

Google Doctor
Google has launched and updated its new feature termed as “Google Doctor”. The feature will be available on Google mobile’s site and Android app. You can use this feature to tell Google about symptoms and Google will diagnose the disease e.g. you can ask “a severe headache”. Google will further ask some questions and finally diagnose the possible disease. Before this feature, when some users ask about medical condition, Google redirects it to WebMD and Mayo Clinic.

"To get this information, we worked with a team of medical doctors to carefully review the individual symptom information and develop the way we build the related health conditions list. We also had experts at Harvard Medical School and the Mayo Clinic evaluate related conditions for a representative set of searches to help improve the lists we show." As told by Google spokesman.

It is worth mentioning here that approximately 1% of all searches on Google are related to medical conditions.  It is a good initiative by Google and will definitely help its users to diagnose diseases. Although the results won’t be 100% accurate as Google can't check diagnostic reports etc yet it can at least give an idea. Please also note that Google Doctor is not an alternate of Medical Specialist and you should consult your doctor in case of any serious illness.
