Early this month, 167 million LinkedIn IDs had been hacked and
were put on sale. Millions of Fling ID’s had been hacked in 2011. Now a
question arises that are we secure? What is the credibility of online safety
and privacy? Internet is growing by leaps and bounds but such incidents will
compel us to reduce our online activities.
Technically speaking, all passwords of above said websites should
be saved in database in encrypted form. If they are saved in encrypted form
then how a hacker can decrypt them? It is only possible that either the
passwords are not encrypted or the encryption is not so strong. In both cases
it is professional negligence.
A good news Tumblr, Fling or LinkedIn users is that now they can
verify that either your account is compromised or not. Visit this link Check My Account to check your account.
Now, its time to secure all online assets and give users confidence
to live in digital age.
