Microsoft has launched a new
Project Management Software, Planner. It will be a part of Office365 suite and
most importantly, it will be free. Yes, Microsoft has launched project
management software free to promote its Office365. It is integrated with
outlook and OneNote. For those who don’t have idea of project management
software, Project management Tools are the software design to track work and
team collaboration.
Microsoft is also advertising
that its latest software will be used by Governments of Cascais and Potugal to
automate the work flow. Planner will definitely appeal to customers, who are
already in love with Microsoft products. Moreover Planner has a familiar interface
like Microsoft Office so users won’t have to struggle hard to get familiar with
interface. Project Management Tools have
a great potential now a days as more and more private organizations and
Government bodies are moving towards automated workflow tracking.
Many other big names like Google
also has free project management tools and now Microsoft has become one of the
major competitor. It is also a threat for Premium services and software like Trello,
TeamBox etc
